John Kim is a cerified level 1 coach in USA Tae Kwon Do. He has been very involved in USA Tae Kwon Do as a coach and competitor for over the last 10 years. He currently coaches students at both local and national levels.
Mr. Kim has helped his students become champions at not just the local level but national and international levels as well. He has aided his brother Master Joseph E. Kim in producing over 2 dozen national champions. In the past John has coached over a dozen students of his own to a national titles. Kim's Martial Arts has a very high success rate at the national championships. An extremely high percentage of students under Kim's that have competed at nationals have come home placing in 1 of the top 3 spots. John is currently coaching athlete Kristen Frisch who is a two time Junior National team member and Pan American Champion. John dedicates a lot of his time training Kristen in preparation for her to become a senior national team member in the womens fly weight division.

John Kim's knowledge as a coach does not stop at Tae Kwon Do. He has been coaching in the mixed martial arts for several years now and is working to build a strong and successful team of Mixed Martial Arts competitors. With the help from his long time friend Fred Mone, they have put together a few very successful competitors. Mike Thompson who has been training with Master Kim in Tae Kwon Do, Jiu Jitsu, Judo, and Kick Boxing for about eight years has an undefeated record in his mixed martial arts career. Mike is a very strong and technical fighter. Dave Vandevelde is also undefeated and has been with Kim's Martial Arts for the last three years. Dave is a very athletic and very explosive fighter. Both fighters are very skilled and very exciting to watch compete. Mr. Kim has very high hopes for these two competitors and is working hard to make sure that they go far in the up incoming sport.
