Teaching Experience

Mr. John Kim started teaching as an assistant to his father at the age of thirteen. As an assistant he helped instruct the junior classes at Kim's Martial Arts Fairview Park location. At the age of sixteen he became an official instructor at KMAS. John continued his teaching as the junior instructor and started taking on more responsiblity in some of the adult classes as he got older. Now not only did John teach Tae Kwon Do he was also in charge of the Judo program and was the main cardio fit kick boxing instructor.  In the year 2000 John officially became the head intructor at both of the KMAS locations in Fairview Park and Avon Ohio.

Mr. Kim teaches any where from 5 to 8 classes per day and finds time for private lessons before or after scheduled classes. Mr Kim works with high school athletes to better their strength, conditioning, and cooridination. He thanks his brother Joe for teaching him all about strength and conditioning. His brother Joe was a strength and conditioning coach for the NFL. Joe has worked with the Browns, Dolphins, Packers, and the Cowboys.

 Over the years John has produced over 100 black belts and has taught over 2,000 students. Mr. Kim currently is the head of the Kim's Martial Arts school in Fairview Park. His main focus is to make the Fairview school the largest most successful school in the greater cleveland area. John teaches every class himself to make sure that the product of Kim's Martial Arts stays reputable. He loves teaching and has a passion for the martial arts.
